What is Yoga?
Yoga is a tradition and science with roots in ancient India. Yoga has evolved over centuries to embrace the wisdom of many places and times. Throughout history, it has been split into various “types or schools of Yoga” focusing on the different aspects of Yoga. Yoga means union.
Through posture, breath, meditation and relaxation you will find awareness, strength, flexibility, focus and stillness. Experience wholeness through integration of mind, body and spirit.
We offer different kinds of Yoga in our beautiful sacred space.

Yoga Class Descriptions:
KUNDALINI AND MEDITATION "Kundalini Yoga utilizes asanas (body postures),sound current (chanting), breath (pranayama) and meditation to relax and heal your mind and body, allowing the spirit to flow freely. Kundalini Yoga brings a greater feeling of well-being and happiness-our natural birthright as humans. It balances the glandular system and strengthens the nervous and immune systems. This powerful and effective form of Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., Master of Kundalini Yoga, is a great way to recharge and heal as it centers the mind, strengthens the body and increases awareness of the spirit. From your very first class, you'll reap the rewards. You are not required to be in perfect physical shape or believe anything in particular. The gift of Kundalini Yoga is that you experience it. No words can replace the experience. Everyone can do it!"
KRIPALU YOGA
A "Meditation in Motion" form of yoga, Kripalu is a systematic means of integrating the human being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual through gentle and meditative postures.
GENTLE YOGA
Relax. Open. Breathe.
This class is an invitation to release tension, check into the body, and move into space created by the breath. A gentle asana practice will be offered: encouraging ease, awareness, and opening to a deeper sense of relaxation and flexibility in both mind and body. This practice is available for in-home sessions.
VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa is a natural sequence, unfolding with creative intelligence-a conscious evolution connecting each movement with unifying breath. A flowing sequence of asanas coordinated with the breath.
HATHA YOGA
Hatha yoga is the yoga of the sun and the moon. It has benefits that one can experience from the first practice and it may be the original system of holistic health dealing with all aspects of living. Hatha yoga involves the physical practices of asana (postures), pranayama (control of breath and energy), bandhas (muscular locks and contractions), mudras (seals and gestures), kriyas (internal cleansing techniques), philosophies and meditations. It is a way to bring together the mind body and spirit during your practice and long after you leave the mat.
MEDITATION/YIN YOGA
Yin Yoga gently stretches the tissues that form our joints. On a mental level your mind begins to calm , preparing one for meditation practice, cultivating more awareness and presence in your life.
MEDITATION
Meditation is the art and science of mastering our mind. How we think directly effects how we feel and act. Meditation is a process that clears the subconscious mind, it is like taking out the garbage. It helps us to have more mental clarity and focus. It affects our glandular system (the guardians of our health) and our brain chemistry. Meditation with mantra is the quickest way in these chaotic, pressurized times to clear the subconscious mind. Mantras cut through negative and sabotaging thoughts and replace them with positive uplifting thoughts that align us with our infinite self. Meditation is a powerful tool for transformation and healing. Join us and experience many different meditations to find one that works for you.
