How do I get started?
Check out our on line schedule and join any class. There are no beginner or advanced classes! Or, you can schedule a private session by calling or visiting GYROTONIC® SATNAM and our trained staff will assist you and encourage you through your own specialized program. From private to semi private sessions to group classes we hope to inspire, challenge and support every client in becoming healthy and whole.
Who is the GYROKINESIS® inventor?
This very effective low impact body conditioning system was developed in the mid 1980's by Juliu Horvath, a Hungarian raised in Romania and former ballet dancer with the New York City Opera. His career in dance was ended by an injury. As part of his recovery he began delving into Yoga, acupuncture and meditation. The combination of his forays in these healing modalities and a professional career that spanned years as a ballet dancer, competitive gymnast and swimmer, became his inspiration for Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® which bills itself "The Art of Exercising and Beyond ®".

The GYROKINESIS EXPANSION SYSTEM® might shave a few strokes off your golf game!
The movements promote flexibility, coordination, endurance and speed – not strength alone. This is exactly the mix of attributes conducive to developing your golf swing to its full potential. The Gyrokinesis Expansion System has multiple exercises for every part of the golf swing. Ask your instructor or check out our workshop and special event schedule.
Gyrokinesis Exercise for Senior Citizens
The process of aging is often accompanied by chronic pain and stiffness. The Gyrokinesis Expansion System provides the ideal work out by gently stretching the body and simultaneously restoring flexibility and internal strength. Gently and gradually we breath new life into to the body and reduce muscular and emotional tension achieving a new internal equilibrium.
Studio Etiquette
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your session or class starts.
- Refrain from eating an hour and half before your session or class.
- Wear comfortable clothes; leave your shoes at the door.
- Turn cell phones off before entering Gyrotonic® SATNAM.
- Please refrain from wearing fragrances such as perfume, body lotions etc. in consideration for those with allergies.
- Bring a mat and towel.
- It is important to let the instructors know if you have any condition or injury before your session or class starts.
